Questions about LearningExpress Library

What is LearningExpress Library?
LearningExpress Library is a special database that helps students and adult learners improve the skills required for school and career success. For upper elementary students, there are practice sets and tutorials to develop skills in math, reading, and writing. There is much more content, but most of it is only relevant to middle and high school students.

How do I create an account?
This resource is available to all students and educators in Oregon.

If you have a Google account, you can use the "Sign in with Google" option to sign in with your existing Google account, meaning you will not need a separate account or login for LearningExpress Library.

If you would rather have a separate login for LearningExpress Library, follow these steps to create an account:

  • Access any Find Information page on OSLIS (elementary student, elementary educator).
  • Click on the LearningExpress Library logo, which is a drawing of a lightbulb.
  • Click on Sign In / Register in the blue toolbar near the top.
  • Click on Register.
  • Fill out the short form and click on Register.
    • The email address you enter will become your username.
    • You will be prompted to choose your own password.
    • If you do not have an email address, click on the "Register without email" link above the Email textbox, and fill out that form instead. If you choose the option with no email, there will be no way to receive information about updating your password, if you forget it.

How do I use LearningExpress Library?
These video guides explain how to log in; how to access tutorials, tests, and resources; how to use My Center, and more. The page defaults to the full-length tutorial, but you can choose specific topics from the menu at the top of the page. There is also a FAQ. Both resources are available from the Help menu in the blue toolbar on the top right of any LearningExpress Library page.

How do I, as an elementary educator, see more than just the School Center of LearningExpress Library?
Because the School Center has the most relevant content for elementary students, the LearningExpress Library link opens to that page. However, all users are able to click on the Centers menu in the blue toolbar at the top of the page to explore other centers. Some other centers include Computer Skills Center, Personal Success Skills, and Job & Career Accelerator.
